Will Howery

Will Howery brings together a rare combination of deep software engineering experience and craftsmanship in the world of fine instruments.

He spent over a decade working with Oracle and BEA Systems, building highly available, enterprise-class systems used by Fortune 500 companies. His work focused on scalable infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission-critical deployments.

For the last ten years, William has devoted himself to violin making and restoration. He is a long-time member of the Violin Society of America (VSA), participating in numerous workshops, and refining his skills in construction, repair, and full restoration of violins, violas, cellos, and bows.

Today, William operates a small but respected violin shop, where he offers expert services ranging from setup and tonal adjustments to complete restoration. He combines his love for fine craftsmanship with his technical background to build innovative tools like Instrument Passport.

David Howery

David Howery is a seasoned media and technology professional with over two decades of experience in marketing, journalism, and e-commerce.

He currently serves as Director of Web developement and infrastructure for a multinational corporation, where he oversees digital marketing strategy, direct sales operations, and global online deployment.

David began his career in news, working in media infrastructure and digital publishing. Over the years, he transitioned into freelance web development and eventually into marketing and commerce leadership roles. His experience spans visual branding, deployment pipelines, and data-driven campaign strategy.

His ability to bridge technology, storytelling, and user experience makes him a valuable contributor to Instrument Passport’s mission to serve both traditional artisans and modern digital users.
